About WEDGE

Women Encouraging the Dreams of Girls Everywhere

WEDGE empowers girls and young women through tiered, mentorship-driven support that fosters personal growth, educational achievement, and leadership development—from middle school through college and early career.

WEDGE is centered on empowering and uplifting girls to walk confidently in their purpose, while being supported and encouraged by women who are committed to helping them grow, lead, and succeed.

Our mission is rooted in mentorship, exposure, and creating meaningful opportunities that inspire girls to pursue their dreams without limitation.

By fostering enduring relationships between mentors and mentees, WEDGE aims to create a supportive network that empowers young women to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. Through workshops, personalized coaching, and peer support groups, participants are equipped with the skills and confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges.

Building a Community of Empowerment

WEDGE’s approach goes beyond individual mentoring by cultivating a community of empowerment. Regular group activities and events are organized to foster a sense of belonging and solidarity among participants. These gatherings provide opportunities for young women to share experiences, celebrate achievements, and learn from one another, reinforcing the community’s collective strength.

Youth-led community impact initiative designed and executed by program participants.

(Community Events - Open to all ages)

WEDGE’s inaugural community initiative will be an Elementary School Book Drive Event. WEDGE participants will organize and lead a campaign to collect book donations for elementary school girls. During the event, children will have the opportunity to “shop” for free books and participate in interactive activities, games, and literacy-focused experiences facilitated by WEDGE participants. This initiative not only promotes literacy and joy in reading, but also empowers young women to serve as leaders, role models, and advocates within their communities.

Long-Term Impact and Vision

Nurturing leadership skills and encourage young women to become advocates for themselves.

WEDGE’s vision is to create a lasting impact by equipping young women with the tools they need to succeed in all areas of life. By investing in their personal and professional development, the program aims to break the cycle of poverty and disadvantage, paving the way for a brighter future. This holistic approach ensures that WEDGE not only addresses immediate needs but also contributes to sustainable change within communities.

WEDGE stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for girls and young women in under-resourced areas. By providing consistent mentorship, fostering community, and developing leadership skills, WEDGE empowers young women to rise above their circumstances and become the leaders of tomorrow.
